Floor lamps are an ideal way to make a quick revamp to a room where space may be limited. The type sometimes known as ‘mother and child’ or reading floor lamps, with a tall uplighter and a focused beam for close work would be particularly useful in this situation. The arc floor lamp style is also very good where space is at a premium as they can be pushed out of the way when they are no longer needed.
