With over two hundred designs in this range anyone and everyone will be able to find just what they want need from their modern wall lighting here on the Lighting Majestic website. Sometimes people are put off fitting wall lights because of what they see as fairly complicated fitting requirements, but these are simplified greatly by using fixtures which are individually switched, so that you switch them on at the light itself. All you have to do then is attach the wall light to the ring main and will avoid having to do additional wiring to a central switch, although this is perfectly possible as well. Modern wall lights which can be centrally controlled are more often fitted at the beginning of a lighting project; they are more difficult to fit once the decorating and plastering etc has been done.

Chrome wall lights come in all kinds of designs and can be very plain, such as Katina or Ice Cube or more art nouveau in concept, such as Minuet. Chrome wall lights are particularly useful as a design option as they will go with any décor and so fit happily into the room even if some quite major changes are made in the overall ambience. Because the chrome reflects the colours and lights in the room, they can effectively ‘disappear’, leaving a pool of floating light and this is a very effective tool for the designer. Satin chrome wall lights give a slightly different effect, in that the light is thrown back more softly from the brushed finish, but they too are classic design features which will be at home in any setting.

The modern wall brackets in the Lighting Majestic range don’t need a whole lot of maintenance; the shiny finishes can be wiped with any gentle all purpose cleaner on a damp cloth, the matte finishes are happy with a light dusting. The glass shades benefit from a clean with a good quality glass cleaner once in a while. With modern eco-friendly bulbs and LED lights not creating as much heat as traditional bulbs, the old problem of staining and scorching is no longer an issue with wall lights and so modern wall lights do look good for much longer older fittings, so it is fine to go for the pale shade and glass and chrome which would once have been a magnet for dust and grime.
